For those of us that want the facts laid out so that we're empowered to make our own decisions, this book is a great tool. It was given to me since I'm a scientist and people presumed I would want access to the date -- they were right. Oster isn't preachy in the least, doesn't underestimate the intelligence of her readers, and gives well-rounded arguments to back-up her points. I especially appreciate the manner in which she presents information, summarizes the risk to the mother/fetus, explains how she interpreted that for herself, and finally how her friends interpreted that without judging them. She covers pregnancy from conception to post-delivery so invest in this sooner rather than later.
This is an excellent handbook for anyone living in the back country or far from medical care. It is also an excellent consult for a medical provider working in remote locations where medicines and hospital care are not available.
I heard Rosalind Wiseman speak briefly on Dr. Phil's show that dealt with young men charged with raping a fellow high school student. It is important that young men be guided in making right decisions and parents need to understand the language of young men and what they want to say and what they need to hear. I purchased several of these books for our schools.
I've been using WEN for years. I'm black with natural hair that's long and curly and this conditioning shampoo makes it soft, shiny and manageable. I was even able to use it once I started getting keratin treatments. Then a few years ago I was diagnosed with Celiacs disease and had to get rid of a lot of my toiletries because they contained gluten. Well, I contacted the company and the Pomegranate is gluten free!
I've never been disappointed. It is expensive but one bottle is the equivalent of what I'd spend on separate shampoo & conditioner so I feel it works out even.
In a creative, catchy manner, Gordon weaves a tale of how to transform your life. Readers will reap the benefits of an inspiring ride that will lead to a life which is positive and engaging. After reading this book, I craved more of George and Joy on the Energy Bus. I highly recommend it for teams and organizations. It is a great tool to feed the positive energy of a team, department or organization. I plan to share it immediately with my team. If you are part of a team leading change, this book will help bring out best in your team. Gordon sets forth 10 simply written yet highly meaningful rules and #9 is my favorite: Drive with Purpose: purpose keeps it fresh. A quote that will hopefully inspire you to read the book is: "Positive energy is like muscle. The more you use it the stronger it gets. The stronger it gets the more powerful you become. Repetition is the key to the more it becomes your natural state".
