- AnitaRL "AnitaRL" - Never would have thought my 20 year old problems would disappear overnight.Up until I entered graduate school when my son was an infant, I never had digestive and elimination problems. When I would read about others having problems, I didn't have a clue as to what that was like, as I was a once-a-day, early in the morning bathroom goer.
Then, during pregnancy, I noticed changes that were concerning, so I had a colonoscopy when my son was an infant, which showed nothing other than hemorrhoids. About the same time, I noticed that stress related to juggling school work and child rearing would result in having to go to the bathroom unexpectedly. I knew that when I pulled an all-nighter, I would pay for it the day after. I have never been diagnosed with IBS, but I think that I have some form of it.
After I retired two years ago, I was increasingly seeing more changes. In the last six months, I became a once a week user of immodium AD, which only helped somewhat. Actually I was happy with Windows 7, but I understand why Microsoft took this step, the long term future of integrating the cloud, the computer, and the tablet is the way to go and something neither Android or Apple have been able to come close to.
I am running this on a PC I do not have a Windows 8 tablet...but I am telling you that the flexibility built into this OS is so far ahead from what else is out there or even what I was expecting that I am liking it more and more every day. There was a lot of creative thinking here. I would go so far as to say it is revolutionary not evolutionary.
The desktop is basically the tablet desktop, all the apps tie in nicely with the traditional Windows desktop which is right there for you just a click away. So basically legacy Windows and the new super tablet interface play nice in the sandbox.
I have not scratched the surface of what this can do, there is not nearly the culture shock one would think...it's fun. I would say give it a try. - Patricia A. Collins "Trish C" - What a great product!What a great alternative to costly satellite TV. Easy to set up and easy to use. Great menu interface, much better than what comes bundled with my Sony Blu-Ray player. Access to lots of content both pay -- Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, -- and free. The only thing missing is an Internet Browser so you could watch online content not available in a pre-packaged channel. I am very happy with the Roku and would highly recommend it.
